We are a small publishing house with big ideas, embracing joy, authenticity and alternative thinking.
We publish works by visual artists and other creatives who embody new ideas.
Our books support creativity that is grounded in the practical, enabling readers to reach for the sky while growing deep roots.
Our Ethics
Being a disabled led company we care deeply about accessibility, equity and placing humans (sometimes more than human life) at the centre of what we do. Our philosophy is to listen, see and value all. This extends to our authors, customers, stockists and any others who work alongside us. This way of thinking also extends to the natural world around us as we believe that humans are not separate from their environment.
Our books are free from plastic and utilise quality recycled paper & cardstock. We do not laminate our pages or covers, preferring the natural feel and patination of the paper. Our perfect bound books do have a glued spine. We have found this to be unavoidable but do offer stapled pages for small publications.
We work with a wonderful award winning UK printer who has been carbon neutral for 20 years.

Our Story
Everyone has always wanted to write a book right? Well, maybe not everybody but lots of people.
The same is true of our founder. She waited 30 years to do it (not patiently I must add), so when a big project came up, she decided to make her book a reality. Along the way she learned about the book industry, how to publish books and the joy of holding a beautifully finished book that you have created.
So just like that, in 2025, Tea with a Tree Publishing was born.
